Default merge collector ?????????

ive been searching , just so thats out of the way, but my question is : is it important/ how important is it that the four points in the inner merge be welded together? ive recently purchased a top mount manifold from pheniox turbo and was blending the welds and joint areas smoother and i noticed this.. the manifold is top quality but im still a little nOOb to tubular manifolds.. id take pics if i had a camera .. thanks for any info..

Anything quality should be welded in and out I feel. I weld mine inside and out.

well i say top quality, but this is the first tubular type manifold ive had and
im impressed with the welds and overall look of it .. im just concerned that maybe
after awhile the inner points may start to distort and pull apart.. its not welded from the very tip - down about 1/2 inch. they butt up against each other tightly.. the tubing used is 308 or 304 ss according to there sight, from the edges i can see it looks like maybe 3/32 to 1/8 inch thick tubing, if this helps...

I really couldn't speculate as to what will happen. I have always welded mine on the inside, so I don't really know what happens if you don't. I am sure someone else on here has seen what happens.
