Type R Legend: Spoon DC2R driven by Hattori
Type R Legend. I'm sure many of you have this video:

Ever since I saw the part where Hattori drove the Spoon DC2R around Suzuka, I fell in love. I had always wanted to cut that part out and save it as a short clip on my computer. But unfortunately I had the VHS version and I'm too computer challenged to convert it into computer files.
But luckily, I found that someone did that for me, and with english translation too.

Enjoy!

people who drive on a roadcourse are on all 3 pedals at the same time quite often...
i thought it was unimaginable until i did it myself for the first time braking down the front straight at limerock park...
i let out a big w00t! and almost freaked my instructor out

I'm not sure if it's the exact same one because AFAIK there were 2 of them (at least).
[edit: but yeah both of them should be prepped equally except for things like fuel cell, spring rates, and things that varies depending on the track and the kind of race (sprint/enduro).]
It makes me want to wash my car and wax it. It looks so clean in the video.

It raced in SuperTaikyu Group N and the rules are very restricted. So the gears need to be stock (98spec).

Sounds like the spoon gear set to me, (super short 3rd.) I dunno, could be wrong.
Maybe just a FD?

Naoki Hattori is one of my favorite Japanese racecar drivers. He's a very smooth and technical driver who background is in formula cars. Most don't know that he used to drive for Spoon in the past, that's why I think he's so familiar with their cars. You never know, the OEM gear seat could have easily been swapped out for the Spoon gear set for the Suzuka circuit.
