lower rear control arm bushings- the large round ones
Going to change rear lower control arm bushings (trailing arm) The large round one in the trailing arm . It has the bolt through it. Where are some good sources for these bushings? energy suspension? Thanks Toby
I think you mean the trailing arm bushing they are the big ones. only get the honda ones look in the rr/ax forum there is a thread why not to use the energy or prothane ones, the poly ones do not let it twist in the direction it needs to, it binds up and leads to bad unpredictable handling. do yourself a favor and buy the honda ones they are under $40 each. I compared the new honda ones to a set of the mugen ones and they appeared to be exactly the same. just buy honda!
They sell a tool that is like a little press that presses them out. If I did a lot of them it would be worth buying.
I have the honda part numbers at home if you need them because honda will try and tell you they are not sold without the entire trailing arm. Let me know if you go that route.

Just to clear this up, the Lower Control Arm is not the same as the Trailing Arm, but I assume you're talking about the Trailing Arm bushing. In which, case I say +1 to running the Mugen bushings and not the poly ones. Unfortunately, King Motorsports is out of stock currently (I'm waiting on a set

You mean that is not the correct way to get them out? I spent three hours and still go nothing accomplished. Took them to the machine shop and had them press them out for $30 I believe. That tool sure looks nice. I guess in another 15 years I will have to look at getting one instead of paying the machine shop.
