How do I take a wiper arm off?

Is there a trick to taking a wiper arm off of the car? I'd like to paint it flat black again. It's a 99 model Civic BTW.

if i remember correctly it should be something like this: remove the nut down twards the bottom of the arm and then put it in the upwards locked position and pulls strait off
