Well my car statred to make a funny noice yesterday, when I accelerated...I don't no what it is...everytime I press on the gas I feel my car loosing speen and making a funny noise that sounds like a subaru's muffler...instead of the normal sound of 'vrooooom' it sounds more like 'prooomprooomprooom' like if one of the spark plugs wasn't sparking and not making one of the pistons work...their is no smoke or anythin...any ideas?? If you have any let me not...cuz its my daylie driver and I needs to fix it. Thank

 

sounds like the timing belt might be off a tooth or maybe your spark is not in the right place check the timing with a timing light

it was lower than usual...but I checked my distributor and it was retarded..so I put it in the middle again...and the idle is fine...my idle usually is about 12-14..and when it was retarded it was 6-8...making my car almost die...when it was on 6-8 idle..I'd put it in gear and accelerate and it would take a long time to get to the normal speen with the funny noise following...I'm not quite sure but it seams that the warmer my car gets...the less I accelerate, the more I hear the noise...
