unless you are prepared to dump 10 grand to have it done right, just do the B16 and modd the **** out of that with all the extra dough. It will make you happy too.

i figure it would cost me about $4000 for a kswap. i have no problem doing the labor between me and my friends. but i can swap in a b16 SiR II for like $2000 and have money for paint, roll cage, etc...

what are your plans for the car? the k engine and tranny itself is gonna run around 4k, then you have to get other things like a radiator, header, exhaust, crossmember, hondata ecu, JDM crx hood so your motor clears, motor mounts, Karcepts shifter kit thing, fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator and some other stuff i cant think of right now. the k24 is a cheaper option but it doesnt fit, its too tall and would require a custom hood. the car would also need suspension work to handle the added weight of the k motor and tranny. if you want pure power, i dont think you are going to be happy with the b16 unless you boost it but then its no longer all motor.

i say the b16 if you plan on staying the DD route, good power, gas mileage (in some cases) and of course the huge price diffrence. then put a little money into it and its a spunky daily motor you can have fun with and avoid having to rip the whole car apart

no,no,no this title of this thread should have been k20a/2 or b18c/1 b16 have no torque at all and takes too much to build gsr's if your going all motor a stage 2 clutch/lightend flywheel and ctr cams would pull a premium one week before racewars. hehehe

but the gsr is better to build my .02

Why are you going with a b16? Get a 1.8 or a 2.0. Not only are they two different motors, one sucks from the factory imo. One is superior, start with a gsr, type R, or a ls or crv motor. just my opinion.

It will be 4000 for just the swap itself.........that doesnt include mounts, axles, custom radiator, and all the other stuff you need for the swap.
