I have a 5spd tranny from a 92 EXR that I am trying to take apart. I have taken all of the bolts out of the transmission removed the slave cylindar and lines, and removed the throw out bearing but I cannot get the transmission to separate into 2 pieces!!! The outer halve of the tranny moves around and will separate from the halve that houses all of the gears about 3/4 - 1 in but will not come completely off. I think it might be the shaft that is the problem but I cannot find anything else to unbolt of remove. When I wiggle the outter halve it seems to be free around the shaft but will not come off. Please help!!!!!!

 

I'm thinking there is a bolt or hex screw that is inside the bell housing;
on the tail side the 32mm threaded plug and grip ring under the plug;
the back up light switch has to be removed also;
getting harder and harder to have good flashbacks these days LOL
