Im posting this up for a freind of mine.
Asking price 4000 OBO With ROTAS
or 3500 With 17" ADRs
Both the ROTAS and ADR have brand new tires.
The car was purchased in July of 2006 in Dallas, TX when I saw an incredible condition CRX for sale. It has never seen snow, as while I was at school it was garage kept. The only exterior issues include a different coloured hood and a crack in the windshield left by the previous owner. Both however are perfectly safe, but may need replacement if you are a perfectionist. However, the rest of the exterior is in immaculate conditon. The red pain still shines beautifully despite being an 89.
The interior is almost flawless. The one issue involves the HVAC control unit, which was cracked by the previous owner. Other than that, the carpet has been well maintained and there are no rips or cracks to name.
I swapped a newer D16A2 into it (current engine has about 85k on it) while the chassis itself has 130,000. The car still handles wonderfully and with a little TLC and engine swap can become an absolute beast. It hurts to see it go, but college has taken its toll on my funds.
The list of mods includes:
-NGK Spark Plugs, new spark plug wires, Mobil 1 Synthetic put in about 1,500 miles ago
-Injen CAI
-15” Rota Circuit 8 (sport bronze) w/ almost brand new Falken Ziex tires
-Skunk2 Short Shifter mated to a Mugen shift **** (combo makes for insanely shirt shifts!)
-Clear corner front, custom “clear corner” tail lights (one of a kind, tasteful mod)
-Tenzo R Version 5 steering wheel
-Panasonic CD player
-Alpine Type R 6” speakers (front), Audiobahn 6x9 speakers (rear)
-Reverse gauges (blue on white daytime, blue or green choice at night)
-Tinted windows
The car is ready to go and needs no work to be a daily driver. If you’re interested in finishing my job of engine swapping, this car would save you the money of restoring the rust on most CRXs or EGs. The car has been babied by me, as I spent about 5 days cleaning and replacing things here and there to make it what it is now. I have invested almost $6,000 on it, from the new engine to having it towed to Chicago.
