cheap out on an intake, but use quality mounts?
you can get a decent cheapy one for like $30 on ebay. not some cold air extension with a filter on it.

Maybe he got the swap that way? I got my swap from an old friend with a cheapo fugly intake and to this day I have not replaced it out of laziness I guess. lol

i know, right!?
(the adapters, lead hammer, and spinners actually cost more than the 4 wheels you sold me.
) good *** deal man, if only i would have known about the sale in 96 when i had my lowlow. LOL i had to have the 'bolt-on' wheels.
i draw the line when its time to buy the tires though.....
i'll just buy a caddy and take the wheels back from him. haha

Good quality mounts are a must. Wiring should be soldered and shrink wrapped, no crappy twisting and electrical tape jobbers. Ask to disconnect the battery for ten sec. And then put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on pos. make sure the check engine light comes on. Turn it on and drive it. The check eng light should not come back on. If its obd0 do the same thing and look at the light on the ecu. Engine should not smoke and the vtec should engage audibly. Person should be able to tell you where he got the swap without any hesitation, ie “I stole that **** from a h-t member”. Getting a swapped ef is a great deal lets face it I know I can’t sale my car for half of what I got into it, but it could suck if you have no idea of what your getting into. So read up and walk into the deal knowing what the hell your doing. And bring a friend that has done a swap would help. Good luck

you're in nj? **** that looks like a job i did recently,,with the 90 integra radiator, ghetto intake, red spark plug cover and all..
You really won't know until you take the car home and start tinkering with it. Thats why I never buy cars that are modified already because someone always manages to rig something on them. The cheap intake worries me, but the guy actually still has a battery tie down on which is rare.

does it run? lol
make sure the wiring was done properly in terms of soldering, and pin outs.
make sure the mounts are in decent condition and hold properly
make sure there was enough clearance made for the front x member and alternator pulley.
make sure vTAK engages when it should.
