Default EK EX automatic cluster temp gauge acts funny in my hatch......HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a ex automatic gauge cluster in my 98 hatch and after you start the engine for a minute or so the temperature gauge would go all the way to HOT!!! but if i put my stock dx tach in there then evrything reads fine, another thing is that my bags had blown, the EX automatic doesn't turn on the SRS light but a tock dx does, by the way the stock dx i put in is for manual. the car an auto converted to manual. it's goofy, somebody help me out. I know my car is not over heating for sure.....

does anyone know if this is normal because it is an EX automatic cluster?

there was a missing screw at the back of the cluster and after I put in a new screw it works. Those screws actually sends power all across the cluster
