Default Resurface or buy new flywheel?

I took my flywheel to get resurfaced at a Carquest here and they told me for $15 more I could just get a brand new flywheel. Should I go ahead and buy this new flywheel or just have my current one resurfaced? Thanks!!!

all depends on what kinda of flywheel it is. but if it is a new oem one i would just do it.

Wow, places around here charge anywhere from $10 and up to resurface a flywheel.

How much do they want to resurface? I think I paid $45 can't remeber well though it was almost 2 years ago. Doesn't sound like their being straight with you. Call a machine shop and get a price check.

They want $25 for a resurface and $40 for a new flywheel. I'm guessing it's oem, but I could always ask. Sounds like too good of a deal for a new one, but I could be wrong.
