Default Looking for a tall FD for a b-series tranny...who makes one?

I've found 2 so far. a 3.47 and a 3.42.

Anyone have one or know where to get one for a half decent price? crazy prices on the 2 i've found.

how did you guess 69?

motor is...

B20B Block
Balanced 89mm crank
Eagle Rods
84 mm 12.5:1 CP pistons
ARP hardware
Mugen Oil Pan

Head:
B16B Head
Skunk 2 Stage 2 Cams
Skunk 2 Retainers & Valvesprings
AEM Tru Time Cam Gears
Rocket modified spark plugs
Fidanza 7.5lb flywheel new!
ACT Extreme Pressure Plate
ACT Street Strip Disc
CTR N1 crank pulley new!
AEM alternator pulley
Oil filter Relocation kit
AEBS IM 68mm inlet
AEBS TB 68mm

Fuel system: -8an feed line, -6an return line, Earl's Prolite 350 braided hose, Earl's black anondized fittings, Aeromotive a1000 fuel pressure regulator, Aeromotive inline efi fuel filter, Walbro 255lph HP intank pump, (2) -8an quick disconnect fittings

Fluidyne half size radiator

attached to a stock type r lsd'd tranny

I'm horrible at calculating gearing but the 3.4 seems to be where people want to be from street and strip. I can go to a shorter if i swap out the 5th gear. So if i got the Mfactory 1st gear and FD and use an LS 5th...it might be fine. need to do that calculations

Awesome

What are the plans for the car, road racer? Also, what the biggest tire you plan to use?

once i get the extended front end in place...i'll know what the biggest tire i can use on there will be. currently its a little tiny 175/50-13 on a 13"x7" rim

time trial car, exhibition run.

current horsepower is in the 210 range and car with me and drivetrain is an estimated (i was told 1350lbs) 1400-1450lbs.

http://www.f-body.org/gears/ (lays out every rpm for each gear)

thanks...i just used this one myself.

with a taller tire, that gear ratio might just be the right one looking it over.

I'm even getting excited.

Looks like a 22x8x13"(205x55x13) M&H using the current setup puts me right there as well for track use.

Looks like a nasty build especially w that weight of the car. I've got a very short ATS 5.077 FD i have yet to install. Good luck on ur build.

this is a 1.6 in this mini. quite quick for that motor. pretty positive he started in 2nd gear...1st is useless

this swap isn't cheap unless you build your own subframes and go super low budget.

I'm still sourcing out a high end header(might just do some promoting for this) as well as headwork. Still checking to see if i have firewall room for that aebs IM.

I would be honored to contribute the headwork to this project. PM me about a deal if youre interested, as i could work something out for only 1/2 the cost of what i normally charge.

cos 'G' reg with the number plate that way round means the car was first registered imbetween 1st September 1969 and 31st August 1970

(English number plate system, you can instantly tell what year it is )
