Default Anyone ever tried adjusting cam gears on a stock GSR??

I have a Eg hatch with a GSR in it. I have a skunk2 pro mani, JDM ITR header, JG adjustable cam gears, clutch & a flywheel. My question to you guys out there is that my friend is nagging me on adjusting my cam gears to get everything I can out of the stock cam (valvetrain)?? Would it make a difference. I figured I would just leave it stock but unless otherwise someone on here played with their cam gears?? Any info would be appreciated.. OH BTW I am running a chipped ECU..Vtec engages at 5600 if that helps. thanks.

it's pointless. And your vtec is set way too high.

Leave cam gears alone until you get on a dyno. You CAN pull out some more power from cam gear adjustments, you just need to be on a dyno for it.
