Default 7th Gen HID

Has anyone ever tried running HID's on their 7th gen without retrofitting? Hows the glare? Is it to the point where it will totally blind other drivers and attract attention from cops?

7th gen retro fits are very common. check out v6performance.com they have a great HID forum, or HIDplanet.com

edit: just saw you said NON-retro....dont waste your time, it looks like ****.

I have also thought about this. I want HID's but don't have the money to put into a retro fit. I don't really have the money for the HID's right now either though so they will have to wait anyway.

Id wait until i could afford a retro rather than buying just a bulb kit...you wont be satisfied.

Dang it dude, retrofitting is kind of a bitch to do, costly too. Anyone got pics of un-retrofitted HID's? My friend has it on his 04 civic hatch and it didn't look too bad.

It isn't too bad, I don't necessarily have HIDS, just ultrabright PIAA's, couldn't tell you the exact (k) though. It's just a little bit brighter and a wider beam than the stock bulbs, but definetly a upgrade of stock

So no one has seen an un-retrofitted 7th gen HID?

By any chance does anybody have contact information for a company in Richmond VA that evidently specialises in putting HID in 7 Gen Accord?

I have heard about them several timse, but failed to make note of their contact information.

Thanks very much for any help you can provide.

not sure, but are you referring to this place?

Custom Lightz - HID Retrofit Specialist

I want to say I've spoke with someone from there about their retrofits here on H-T but I can't think of their username.

I think that's them!! Thanks!

One of the things I miss from my EP3 is the excellent German CTR HID that I had on the car.

I think I might try to get more Honda HID if there's an easy way to do it.

A guy I know distributes non-retrofitted Kaixen HID's for 7th gens, they're about 150 for both. They look pretty good from what I've seen...

7th Gen you mean yrs 03+? I threw in a spare set of 6000k's into my gf's cousins 06 and the glare isn't bad. It's actually pretty focused for a reflector.

Hey GK; didn't know you got a 7th gen Accord, or do you? Are you coming to the EXPO at VIR? Rumers has it so.

Well yes, we are located in Richmond, VA.

Here's a link to some, but not all 7th gen accords we have done.

Thanks

EDIT: I just remebered, one of our past customers is selling his retrofit; I'm trying to help him out, if you want to take a look at it.

^Get Inspired headlights. I think they are built for HID's.

Yes, they are designed for HID's, but they're also designed for right-hand drive vehicles. In left-hand drive vehicles with HIDs, there is slightly more output to the right side (away from oncoming traffic), and for RHD vehicles it is the opposite. The problem with Inspire headlights on USDM vehicles is that there is too much output towards oncoming traffic. They're also typically very expensive to get. For the same amount of money you can have a nice projector retrofit and better beam pattern.

I used a set of Xenith (Mod-express.com) 6000k kit, beam is more to the right, does not glare and looks very good and lights up the road very well.
