the crowers are not the all out rods for hondas today. pauter or manley rods would be a better bet.

what are your goals for this setup is it a street car drag car?
with a 67mm turbo thats good for 700whp, are u only going to stay at 600?

Eagle's w/ big rod bolts. That will handle any power you throw at it.

Anybody ever seen how much damage a broken rod causes?

The $300 price difference for manley or pauter rods doesn't seem so significant when you think about what it costs to repair an engine with a broken rod.

The only rod to date I have never seen an issue with are the Pauter rods. I have seen lots of issues with crowers, do not like those at all. Pin bushings always seem to go out. I have also seen the Carrillo rods bend and did not car too much for their customer support. Like the old saying goes, if they are half the price, there is a reason for that. At your 600hp range I would go with the Pauters and realize it is an investment for the rest of your motor.

i had crowers, awesome rods, only made 500 on them, engine up with problems, and needed a rebuild, went with eagle (becuase i was cheap) and they work fine at 500, the crowers are actually heavier then the eagles, (i thought htat was interesting)

alot of the other guys above have the right thoughts
eagles are good, and lower power i say go all the way, but at the same time, i say can u afford for it to break and wipe out motor. (think the end goal in mind)

if u want a 600 or less, i say eagle,s if u think u going to live at 600 plus for alot of time, go with something better at least crower, but ME too, would have to say carillo or pauter, good luck

good luck

dan

You've got to go with what's proven, carrillo's are overpriced junk, Crower have a bad rep, and eagle and pauter are proven to perform. End of story, i would never buy a brands product after hearing 5 people tell me their product sucks!

eagle is rod of choice for so many becuase of the cost factor, alot of people want aftermarket but not lookingto pay aftermarket price ,so eagle keeps their prices low to supply to those people
