ok so here's what my ride been doing....i have an 94 accord lx 4-dr auto with about 250,xxx on it...ok recently its been giving me some probs with shuttin off on me out of know where.....i'll be driving on the road and it turned off on me when i made a right turn....so i took the car in and they said that my fuel filter was plugged...so i had them replace the filter with an new one.....car ran ok for about a week then died on me again....took the car back and they said i needed to replace the fuel pump....ok so i had that replace ran ok for another week then died again...so now im lost...when the car dieds it feels like its runnin out of gas...no cel or other lights come on...if i let the car sit for about an hr or so it'll turn on then die again...ive asked around to see if any one esle had this prob and most people said its my its coil or my dist....going out...but i wanted to get the feed back from you guys.....any info would be great. thanks for ur time.

 

Sounds like bad battery grounds. Do the lights on the dash shut off when the car dies?

 

If you have any crazy tach action going on I'd suspect the coil or ignitor, if the car just flat out dies I'd suspect the ignition switch.
You can remove the steering column shroud and look at the solder joints on the back of the ignition switch, if any of them look 'frosty' the contacts are bad and you should replace the electrical part of the switch.

If the shop you are using does diagnostics by replacing parts you need to;

A. Find another shop [Drop those sorry assed know nothings]
or
B. Have a bank loan officer on your speed dial.
