Lug nuts for hx wheels
if it is the oe wheel honda you have to use the ballseat oe lugs..if its an aftermarket wheel the you can use a conical seat lugnut that gorilla makes or mcgaurd, and etc........
Depending on your wheel colour , I would think you will be looking for OEM "acorn" style lugs.
Honda used this style lug on the NSX. If you want black, an earlier year NSX came that way (say 93-94ish ). Chrome came every year the car was available.
Heres a picture for you of the black, with a visible part #.
The chrome part # is very similar, but not the same obviously.

Yup, those are the lug nuts for the '91-96 NSX. They list for around $4-5 each at any Acura dealer.
If chrome ones are okay, you should be able to get them at any auto parts store. Don't forget to ask for the ball seat. ("Acorn" refers to the top part of the lug nut and the fact that it's short, not the shape of the seating area.) They're $1.19 apiece at Autozone, last time I checked.

You're confusing two very different things.
1. Lug nuts, and wheels, have a seating area. This is the area where the lug nuts come into contact with the wheels. The shape of the seating area can be either ball-shaped (spherical), or conical (tapered). You need to get lug nuts with the same shape seating area as the wheels. HX wheels (and all Honda/Acura wheels) have a ballshaped seating area. NOT a tapered style, which you mentioned in your first post.
2. Lug nuts can be either open ended or closed ended. Open ended lug nuts can screw onto the studs all the way down, since there is no closed end, which is why they're needed for extended studs. Closed ended lug nuts can only screw on until the stud is all the way into the lug nut, and can't continue to be screwed.
In other words, what you need is open ended lug nuts with a ball-shaped (NOT tapered) seating area. Honda made lug nuts like these for certain years of CRX, and you can get them at your local Honda car dealer. Ask for part number 90381-SV1-901 (as noted in this topic).
