ca smog testing

I just recently had my car fail smog. For gross polluters its 120, my car was at 417 on the smog reading. what is causing that?

If the motor is completely stock and in good working order, check O2 sensor and catalytic.

B18C3 with DC headers, AEM short ram intake, B16 tranny with LS 5th, Skunk 2 camshafts and camgears, custom exhaust with cat.
