If by "just drop these in" you mean installing them and then tuning them then yes, you'll be ok. If you don't tune the motor your car will run like crap.

No, your tuner just sucks.

Find a competent tuner, and your idle will be just peachy.

My LSVTEC on Pro2+'s idles very well.

Yeap, I've seen a good tuner and Pro2 in a stock GSR, idle like stock.

Running Supertech valvetrain+valves with Pro2's. No clearance problems with ITR LMA.

The quality of your idle is directly proportinal to the quality of your tuner. Mine idles and goes thru warmup just like stock, no hunting or high idle...

the tuner may not really suck ***. What some people call a stock idle may be rough in other peoples minds. A friend of mine has a well prepared ls/vtec with pro1's tuned by jeff evans. It idles steady, but i'd consider it a tad rough and annoying. Jeff himself said that they vary and that the pro2 generally seem to idle smoother. Not putting down the pro series at all, they are most definitely kick *** cams

Every motor we've tuned with Pro-1 or Pro-2 cams have driven away with a steady idle at 850rpms.

i agree with runnerdown, people have different ideas on what constitutes a steady idle. my pro1's idled without dying, but it was a bit unsteady and lopey, it was really annoying in daily driving

I'm a rookie on tuning, but I love my pro 2's on my B18C-R with only a Toda valve train. Took me a while to figure out the idle, but thanks to everyone who helped me out.

its a fact. pro1's are annoying. and, i also heard p2's idle better than p1's. regardless of what anyone says, i own a set of p1's. they don't idle like stock. the term "like stock" is broad and misunderstood term.

Supertech Springs
Cosworth Springs
RLZ Springs
Enduratec Springs
Schmithelm Springs

Which part numbers are you guys using. There's about 3 different "official" Supertech part numbers for BVTEC and you can use other p/n's if you got a spring set-up that is drastically different than stock.

Would you guys run the Ferrea springs that are recommended for up to 13mm of net lift with the PRO2's?

As a note i have used PRO2' with other aftermarket springs and they coil binded after roughly 1000 miles.

Ummm... Funny, I didn't know this thread had anything to do with K-series engines...

Again, that's funny, my Skunk2 retainers that I've had for YEARS are still looking JUST fine.

Now leave this place. Be gone, evil, horribly misinformed noob!

wrongm, they won peak hp

my skunk2 retainers saw over 20k miles of abuse with no signs of wear.

My rocket motorsports valvetrain saw over 50k miles of 9900rpms an NEVER showed signs of fatigue
