Default jdm zc pistons in d16y8

ok... so yesterday someone told me i could get around 11.5:1cr in my y8 with jdm zc pistons. i was given this link: http://www.zealautowerks.com/dseries.html. i put in all my specs, and the zc pistons would yield about 12.69:1cr! i would have to use a head gasket about twice the thickness (0.070in) as my stock gasket (0.037in) to get close to 11.5:1cr. is that safe? will it put too much tension on my timing belt? also, i need someone to tell me whether or not these pistons will hit the valves. is there anything wrong with this setup? i plan on using my stock y8 crank and zc rods. (if it matters, i'm going with 0.020in overbore pistons as my cylinder walls may be scored)

zc pistons are too much comp for y8. Not a street proposition. End of story

how do you suggest i get that kind of compression? i can't find aftermarket pistons above 10.5:1cr. should i go with those and mil the head?

Well backtop D16A1 (88-89 Integra) should be ROUGHLY .4 lower compression, all factors the same, than a blacktop ZC piston. A browntop D16A1 (86-87 Integra) should be 1.0 point of compression lower than a blacktop ZC piston, again all factors being the same. But I know there are a lot of other choices out there, for new cast piston money you'd probably be close to some cheaper forged pistons out there.

u used the d16a1 (88-89) integra pistons they r exactly the same as a zc pretty much. i used those on my y8 and the motor popped because the compression was so high id do it again but im recommending u run a thick head gasket and it will be fine . and just so u know it was worth it that car hauled ***

SRP makes some 11.1 pistons. You will pay more, but they are well worth the price IMO.

You can get a 3 layer head gasket and get 12.1 out of A1 pistons in a y8. Maybe a mild port job and nice crower stage 2 cam. That would be a nice little fun daily driver NA dseries.
