Default 06 Si, squeaks and rattles fixed- Great dealership experience.

As we all know, first model year cars have their problems. There have been more than a few threads commenting about various rattles and squeaks in our new Civics. Mine was no different. There had been a distinct rattle coming from the rear of my Si since the start of the Fall semester, but I couldn't take her in because school and work own me. Anyway, finally took her in yesterday and got her back this afternoon squeak and rattle free. Apparently two panels under my rear seat were rubbing and one of the covers on the support beams under the trunk was making noise. Taken care of at First Texas Honda in Austin TX. First dealership to pay so much attention to my complaints. The tech, Emilio, is a big Mustang enthusiast and seemed to be just as **** about his cars as I am. Just wanted to share a great experience. I don't know if anyone else has the same kind of rattle situation I did, but I wish you the best. Word.

Thats cool. Got a few of issues to take care of on my car (rear deck rattles, loud nasty snapping sound on the driver-side visor, shifter feels like its going to break off when I shift into 2nd, shifter not wanting to go into 1st, shifter not wanting to go into 2nd during hard acceleration...sometimes 3rd) hope I have the same great service experience as you had.

very cool. i got my SI over at HOWDY-HONDA, they were pretty awesome. I live off of sixth street and I've seen two other Fiji's around town, one off of riverside and the other off of of Slaughter in S.Austin. You wouldn't happen to be one of them??? Mine is pretty easy to spot, i'm the one with the hitch and bicycle usually hanging off the back.
