Should I? Yes, No?
It's time for my auto Civic to go. Something fell on the freeway a couple of weeks ago, and when I got to the shop, my crankshaft was broken, timing belt missing, a/c pulley broken, and some other stuff. Now, I can't afford a 5-spd conversion, much less a B-series motor (which I would really love), which the guy has in stock. The total cost of fixing the damn POS is $1050, meaning I'll be broke for A LONG TIME. As soon as it's fixed, I'm selling it.
A friend called me up yesterday, saying that his friend is selling his '92 hatchback (didn't mention the model type). The car has a body kit, dropped with rims, custom interior, a B16A with I/H/E and an ITR intake manifold, custom leather interior and custom guage cluster. All in all he says the car is pretty clean. His mom is making him sell the car, so he's selling for $5000 even. I really think this is a good deal, but I don't want the body kit and the leather interior. I just want to keep the car clean and simple - so as not to attract thieves and police. But all that for $5k? That's real cheap.
What do you guys think? Yay or Naye? If I do decide to buy it, how would I go about removing the body kit?

Seems like a pretty good deal. If you remove the body kit you will need
the factory bumpers, thats about it. I'm sure you could trade someone
the body kit for bumpers if the seller doesn't have his factory one's.

sounds good..... go for it... but make sure the car hasn't been beat to death before you buy it !

Do you mean the timing belt, crankshaft and all was gone and you still manage to drive it to a shop? just wondering?
