Alright everything on my cluster works minus the speedo and the odometer. Its either the speed sensor or the wiring harness ive leanred thru searching but i cant find the part number or the difficulty to change the speed sensor. Im guessing its just the actual sensor since the gas/temp etc works.
So how much is it, how hard is it to do, and where the hell is it located. Thats what i cant find through searching.

its located on the top of the tranny, almost directly underneath the TB.

its one 10mm bolt, thats kind of shaped wierd...and its located towards the right back.

Unbolt it, pull it out of its home...and unclip the harness at the top (grey).


Reverse for re-installation. Its super easy.

what tranny is it? i was able to use a vehicle speed sensor from a d-series tranny on my b18c1 tranny.

is it not working at all? or does it sometimes work? cause thats my current problem and i've narrowed it down to a crack in the sauter on the back of my cluster. the connectivity is a little jumpy. i always thought if it was your vss your going to pull a cel. but good luck

 

yeah i get a cel SOMETIMES, and the speedo never works. Yes before the cel came on i searched and found it was the speed sencor then i check the cel and sure enough.
