I agree......the crank shaft pulley acts as the harmonic balancer......Most Pro Drag hondas use the stock LS crank pulley because it is the best balanced and heaviest.

Light crank pulley's is not where you want to go.

yeah if its not harmonic balanced then your crank will end up as warped as my mind

so my best bet would be the ls crank pulley is what everyone is saying right??
Also is it worth getting lightend a/c pulley and alt pulley from unorthodox or should i just stick with the stock pulleys?

I've ran a unorthodox crank pulley on my sohc and now my dohc and have nothing but great things to say about them. There are also 6 other friends of mine who also run them and never any bad experiences with them. Im not starting anything but if its true that putting a lighter pulley on throws its harmonic balance out wouldn't a lightened flywheel do the same???

Just an update...

We tore down my B18C5 Type-R block last week in preparation to send it to Golden Eagle for it's 86mm gorilla resleeving... and we found ALL the main and rod bearings to be PERFECTLY clean - no wear whatsoever.

This puts to rest the question that the UR pulley will screw up your bearings on a B-Series or not - 42,000 miles and hundreds of 9700+ rpm runs - and running just fine on a 12oz piece of aluminum (Ultra R Pulley).

Just an FYI!
