Default 2007-2006 Civic si- whats the best modifications? hondata?

Whats up guys..... I recently bought a 2007 civic si and love the car to death but Im dieing to do some mods. Now Im not new to the si mods world, im a previous owner of a 2000 civic si that i had pushing out around 240 horses (at the wheels) thanks to a drag turbo kit and a endless list of engine mods. Worst day of my life was when I got rid of that car.... Anyway I know what worked for the 2000 civic si (b16) but Im trying to figure out what the best mods are for the new si and where the best places are to find them, because I cant find any after market parts except for intakes. when it comes to this new si. So any feed back on whats working would be great... plus what does everyone think about the hondate reflash? should i do it? is it worth it.. im looking for max horses without a blower.....thanks!

Welcome to HT

im not an Si owner myself, but reading through these forums, i'd say these were popular choises

Injen CAI
Skunk2 Exhaust (im sure there are other choises..this will help https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1845088)
DCRH
Comptech Short Shifter
Skunk2 Weighted Shift ****

..and thats all i can remember

everyone has their own taste in suspension and rims

this place has some of the things i mentioned

http://www.corsportusa.com/sto...c4cdf

now some feedback from an Si owner would be great.

goodluck

Cold air intake (preferrably Injen or Fujita....IMO) , Race header, cat-back exhaust system, and Hondata. That on top of some good performance tires should break you into the 13s in the quarter mile.

Oh yeah....don't forget to drop it to!

injen and aem are the only cai out for fg2's. fujita has a cai out only for the r18.

honddata is a good mod paired with a cai and exhaust. might want to wait for a better race header seeing that most people with a dcrh are having problems and the gains from comptech arent thats much.

Welcome to HT. Just be patient, this Si is still a new vehicle and the aftermarket has to catch up. Just keep an eye on what is released and read read read before making your selections. Learn from the experiences of others. For example, like Type X points out, from the experiences of others the DC Sports race header is probably something you should stay away from.
Good luck man.

I'm pretty sure it's been fixed. I've had mine on the car for about 4-5 months and put about 12,000 miles on it and haven't had any problems (Knock on wood). When I bought mine i asked the guy at AEM about the problem and if it was fixed and he said all the DCRH that were made after June 06' had the problem fixed already. (I'm sure they would tell this to anyone just to make a doller though)

Welcome to the site.

Keep in mind not a good idea to do the Hondata reflash until you have intake, header or exhaust. Otherwise, Hondata states you will loose power.

Everyone else had good advice you will want to follow.

All Japanese Performance Stage II Turbo Kit, Fuel Return System, AEM Boost Controller, AEM A/F Controller & AJP 3" Cat back Exhaust, With the AJP tuned Hondata Reflash will get you around 350 - 370 whp.

well in that case. Intake, exhaust, header, IMG, Reflash, and some good tires. From there it's up to you. those would be the basics though.

Don't they already make a lightweight pulley kit, and other internals.... I know you can go with a flywheel and a clutch kit.

Pulley kit isn't a good idea for our car as of yet (in my opinion). There's not enough R&D time to balance the damn thing, and I'd think that it would negatively affect the life of your engine.

Clutch assembly isn't really needed unless you are pulling over, what, 180 TQ (at crank)? Hellzcivic and j.fuggi can probably comment on this since they are running SC.

Honestly, if you want to keep your Civic NA, then go with the standard I/H/E until you run out of warranty and some impressive engine interals come out (cams, rods/pistons, etc). I've got I/E currently (going to wait on headers until I've got more money laying around) and am VERY happy with the setup so far. It's no racer, but damn it's fun.
