Retractable Hose Reels ?
Well im finishing up the air system on the new shop and Im going to be putting in 3-4 retractable hose reels. Im looking for 3/8 x 50' ones. Does anyone have any experience with retractable hose reels? Any problems with leaking since this is my major concern since I dont want the compressor running constantly with the super awesome electric demand meter. I have a local compressor company called eaton compressor who has them For about ~ $80 with a 2 year warranty just looking for a little input if you have or had one and your thoughts
Thanks

ive used them in a shop i used to work for, as well as our lab at school. theyre nice, and they keep stuff out of the way. best is to have them come down from the ceiling or up high somewhere. no leaks ive ever encountered.

We use the retraca brand in my shop and all over at my work we also use them. They have taken a beating and have never leaked. Some of the ones we have are 10-15 years old.

same here....keeps shop clean and hoses out of the way......nothing in the way..best way is to have it hanging from the ceiling....never leaks..just have something to stop the hose at some point so you can reach it...

I have them in my shop, got them at Northern, they were around $200/ea for 50'. I don't remember the brand, but so far they've been good. No leaks and they still retract like they're supposed to. I'll definitely do them again when these go, only way to keep the shop clean.
Im turning to a neat freak as time goes on. Im going to try these one made locally by eaton compressor. I have 10ft ceiling so Im going to mount them from the ceiling and put the stops in so I can grab them. my old shop we dragged the hoses on the ground and they got nasty and took forever to clean it was like dusted was attracted to them like a magnet
thanks for the help
