Just got the Spoon mirror glass as one of my Christmas gifts and I was wondering how everyone has mounted thiers? There seems to be two ways;

#1 Remove the old glass by heating and pulling it up and off then super glue the Spoon glass on the stock mount.

#2 Use double sided tape and mount on top of the stock glass itself.

Number two seems much easier but I am unsure about just taping those bastards on there. Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated......I really want to install them today

 

do number one it comes out cleaner thats what i did to mine

 

#1 its easy. I just got a JDM convex mirrors and I pulled my old one off. Get your hands under the bottom of the mirror, pull with constant pressure more and more until the bottom pops off. Angle the top clips off and the mirror comes right off.

 

Thanks guys....one more question though; what did you use to attach the mirror to the base? The Spoon glass doesn't have the hooks like the oem glass does. Did you just use the double sided tape or some epoxy or something? Thanks again
