Now I run Quaker state sny. It's not a true sny, but I don't care enough also it's cheaper and i've put maybe 500 miles on it since last oil change.

I've been debating to upgrading to a true sny oil but fact is it just sits so often I can't really warrent it.

Mobile One 5x30 full synthetic is what I have always run. Never had a problem with oil failures or anything (knock on wood).

Castrol GTX 5W-30.

I wanna try out Valvoline VR1 since its not that expensive, but its impossible to find in 10w-30. All I see is 20w-50

I use torco synthetic (5w-30 SR-5): 3% gain religiously all across my powerband. There is power, and protection, in using the right oil. Not all are created equal.

I like Mobil 1 Delvac 5w-40 diesel and gas (mixed fleet) oil.

That was compared to a popular organic of the same weight. You should try it yourself: experience is the best teacher.

Torco Racing Oils is very nice and more affordable than you would think.

I've spoken to the Owner and National Sales manager of Torco and they are very knowledgeable and nice people. No hard sell. They just gave me some stuff to try and test for myself. Once we have a test motor up and running we will be peforming some power related test on various oils. I might put the rights of the results and write-up for bid on e-bay. Maybe D-sport or Tunerzine will be interested, or a group of grass-rooters, who knows.

Here is the Torco Company Van.

What about Neo synthetic? There was an old article in SCC about 6-7 years ago talking about using Neo in one of their project cars and how it was vegetable oil based!!!

quaker state 10/30 synthetic , I used to use mobil1 but I switched just to see if there was a difference, they both feel the same, and they are both synthetics, but the quakerstate is cheaper

Castrol 0w-30 is a better oil than 5w-50

0w-30 is an ACEA A3 rated full synthetic euro spec

5w-30 is just a highly refined dino oil

What base-stock does the Torco use? Zinc or moly?
