Ok for starters here’s the car info
1992 civic cx hatchback
B18b1 and Si tranny

when I start my car if it sits for more than about 1 1/2 hrs it smokes for maybe 15 20 seconds then it goes away at first it smelt like oil now it smells like plastic or something but same deal only a couple of seconds if it sits very long is it the rings or the valve seals

 

valve seals... since your valve seals are bad, it leaks oil while the engine is off, and when you crank the car it has to burn out that oil. did you rev it too high or let it run hot?

 

nope never ran it hot and i bought it from the local yard it ran fine for awhile well it still runs strong but i get the smoking if it sits awhile thanx for the help bro

 

Yeah, valve seals....might have dry rotted from sitting for a while. No biggie, not a huge deal to change.
