Default 1996 Civic EX d16y8 how many O2 sensor on the motor??????

Hey guys i have a 96 EJ8 withthe stock D16Y8 SOHC VTEC. How many O2 sensors come on our cars??

none are in the motor, but you have 2 in the exhaust.

lol i said ON the motor not IN the motor. The Exhaust is also ON the motor. Thanks alot bro

I'm loking for a header abnd some don't have2 O2 sensor outlets

There shouldnt be 2 O2 sensors on the header...

yeah, but replacing the stock manifold requires getting a header with 2 o2 bungs, right.

No.... theres still only 1 O2 sensor there. If theres 1 on the manifold, why would you have 2 on the header? There is only 1 O2 sensor on a header.

No, that's only the case if you have a header that replaces both the stock manifold and the stock catylitic converter. Normal aftermarket headers are designed to go from the head to the catylist - not to replace it since it's an emissions-necessary piece of equipment.

Regarldess, the dude's question is answered: 2 oxygen sensors. If this needs to be argued further, make a thread in tech/misc.

Thanks you that's exacly what i wish i knew before i ordered the header!!!!!

I would have bought one $10 cheaper that had only one 02 sensor bung!! I am keeping the stock cat!!!!

the stock one cracked, found an aftermarket performance one for cheaper than a used stock one
