I am looking into buying some 16" bronze Volk TE-37's for my 99 GSR. I simply want to know what is the best way to tell if they are real by only being able to look at pictures. I have asked to see pics of the 'info tags' on the inside of the wheels, but is there any thing else to look for? Are there any defining words (like 'Volk') actually 'stamped' on the wheels, and if so what does it say? Any info pertaining to this would be very helpful, thanks.

 

They say RAYS on one of the spokes.

 

That's not always the case.

He posted this in the Integra forum and i gave my tips there. Knockoffs can have stickers too.

light = REAL

 

look on the inside lip area of the rim, should have a sticker from Volk saying forged, size, etc. If not Id doubt it and would stay clear..

But can the 'stickers' on the inside be faked? Anyway to tell if it is a real one, if anyone has a pic of what a real tag from the inside of a Te-37 looks like, then I would like to see it. Thanks.

 

Fowler is a good guy... you can bet your *** those wheels are genuine...

 

flip em over, they'll say Rays Engineering somewhere on the back next to the lug nut area, fowler's a good guy, i bought his last set of TE37s

Real TE-37s are also smooth behind the spokes. Knockoffs have some wierd indentation behind them.

Anyone ever seen knockoffs that were smooth behind the spokes?
