Hey guys, I've had a breakdown and was hoping you could give me an idea what's going on before I take it apart to see myself. Here's some info.
A couple weeks ago I was driving my b16 crx with a integra s1 tranny. It has an act 6-puck, pressure plate, and fly wheel. Well when I started to drive it I thought the clutch sounded a little funny when I was driving it but it drove the same so I just thought it was where it had been awhile since I drove it last. Well I was going down the intersate and let off the gas to slow down a little, and when I pressed it again my car just revved like crazy. I get pulled over and out of the way and all that jazz and start going through it. Here's what it does now.
When the car is running with the clutch depressed, it just makes a grinding sound, a bad one. When it's pressed, the sound goes away. The transmission seems to go into all the gears, but nothing happens. I was hoping it was just the clutch or just one of the bearings that went bad but I was wanting to know everyones opinions before I had a chance to take it apart. Oh, I almost forgot. The clutch made rattling noised when it was depressed before but I just thought it was the six-puck clutch. Thanks for taking the time to read it and thanks in advance for the help.

that's cool if that's all that happened. I'm just hoping nothing happened inside the case itself. I've been meaning to get a new clutch so this is a good excuse too.
Yeah, def. sounds like your clutch broke. I've had it happen to a couple of 6-puck's already, might also want to re-think your clutch setup if your n/a...a 6-puck is a little overkill in a sub-200hp b16.

Yeah, I totally agree on the 6-puck as overkill, but it's what came on the car. Well I guess I'm gonna take it apart this weekend and see what's going on with it. Anyone recommend a good clutch setup?
