Default lower it or get a front and back spoiler?

94 accord ex...
would it look funny if i got the front and back spoiler and didnt lower it? with stock rims.
what is more price efficient?
with both ide have to install them...
spoilers = need painting.
lowering = messes with the ride of the car.

opinions?

Lower it. Lips would just look funny with a seven finger wheel well gap. And if you get a lip kit, get the sides too, so people wont laugh at you (but not till you lower your car).

Lowering it only Makes an uncomfortable ride when its done wrong

Nice Struts with a nice coil over kit will be nice

If you want an extra smooth ride, coil overs, struts, camber kit, stabilzer bar, be a very nice ride and handle very good

not necessarily, you cannot get OEM ride quality after lowering the car haha, especially if the car is lowered past like 1.5"

and by "lowering" I'm guessing he means struts and springs. Coil overs are not necessary unless you plan on tracking or autox'ing the car. Just get a good set of struts and springs

Please check out the Accord FAQ

i would lower it.. depending on what you want full coilovers might be the way to go. i looked at prices when i was trying to lower my car and after pricing shocks and springs i found that the price difference for that to a entry level full coilover set wasnt much. plus i got height adjustabiltiy. i wanted the ability to change the height of the car and after seeing my buddy's sleeve coilver crack i didnt trust them that much. btw i picked up tanabe sustecs.

I got a question though. Bash me if theis is not ture, but my teacher said that you can take all the suspenssion off a del sol, and transfer it, and that will give you and oem drop. I was thinking about it and it seems like the spring rates would be way to week even if the rest did fit over, but I gusse that is what aftermarket is for. so does anyone know if this is ture or my teacher was just talking out his ***?

Read the "Guide to basic Accords" thread. Here's a link.

Lowering
- Springs
- Shocks
- Camber Kit
- Alignment
- Labor
$750+

Lip Kit
- 4pc Kit
- Paint
- Labor
$600+

IMO, get suspension work first....then a CF front lip.

Mine was about
H&r sports 30 shipped new
kyb agx 150 shipped new
camber kit is not necessary unless your dropping more than 2 in.
alignment was 75
labor for install was 150, but you can do that yourself.

So thats only 255 if you do it yourself... Just keep checking craigslist and ebay. that ***** cheap if you look for it.

Yeah, my suspension completed (lowered) cost me about 800 to 850. I think it was a nice *** "investment" to the car, it feels nice, handles like none of my friends accords and it is worth every dollar.
I have 17's, and the tires are NOT low profiles (toyo proxes 4). I have the upper strut bars, coil overs (not springs... because I like the fact that I can adjust the ride's height) and it is really nice.
I don't need to slow down too much when passing rail crossings and such, and I never worry about scraping the car's bottom when going over speed bumps or such.

My opinion, save the money and get some suspension work first. Don't go buying 30 or 40 dollars springs from ebay, because who knows how much weight they can handle or how long they will last.
