Question regarding mudflaps
First off, Merry Christmas to everyone! Hope everyones holidays worked out well. This morning I got a pair of mudflaps from Heeltoeauto for my 2000 Honda Civic EX, and although the fronts fit the car perfect, the rears don't fit so well. None of the bolt holes line up like on the fronts, and it seems as though the rears aren't even molded to the rear bumper. Heeltoe says the flaps are for 96-00 coupes but I was wondering if anyone knew if these flaps were meant to be used with rear lip equipped cars (like the Si) or whether or not I have the right part. Also I know that the 96-98 bumpers are a different shape then the 99-00 so i was wondering if us 99-00 guys just have to bite the bullet and mount them without them fitting correctly. For referrence the part number for my item is 08P00-S01-100 and I have a 2000 Civic EX with no rear lip. Thanks for the help guys, hope the holidays are going well for everyone!
Judging from the pic I would say you have a set of mudflaps that are meant for a 96-98 Hatch. (maybe 99-00 as well, not to sure). The rear bumper of that model has an indentation that goes the whole way around the bumper unlike the coups/sedans. (search some pics to see what I mean)
I think.........
Edit: Here is a pic I found of some hatch with mud flaps, if you look closely they look like the ones you have.
