Default Difference Between A Type-s And Base

I have a base model RSX and my buddy has a Type-s.. he's got a ECU and some other stuff.. but the ECU is the only thing different.. but his V-tec is sooo much louder than mine. i thought it would be in the head, but i was wrong. Is this something with the piping of the car or what? can someone give me the low down on the difference?

basically, in a nutshell. the k20a3 [ your engine ] does not have the traditional 'vtec' that you are used to.

Yes, because the search page only searches recent topics by default, and people don't usually think to search a second time and click the "Archived" button to look in older topics.

There are a lot of differences. I'd say go to http://www.acura.com if they haven't already taken down the RSX.
