Ok first off I have a 96 civic ex and it has an act stage 1 clutch it has been in for over a year with no problems. I was driving home on Thursday and put the clutch in to go to neutral to come to a stop that was fine put the clutch in to go and nothing it would not go into any gear no signs no nothing. I get it off to the side of the road and turn it off it goes into gear fine when car is off. I changed the slave cylinder and the clutch disc today still the same thing I can see the slave cylinder pushing the throw out bearing arm over it just acts like the clutch is not pushing in far enough any help would be appreciated thanks

 

you changed the friction disc and slave cyl. but did you ever think about bleeding the system? (which i hope you did when you changed the slave cylinder)

9/10 times its just air in the system.

 

Yes I bleed the system 3 times already thinking the same thing.

 

What about the clutch master? Bypassing maybe or leaking onto the floor also the condition of the pressure plate and t.o. bearing

 

I looked at the master and seen no leaks outside nor inside. I am going to change the pressure plate today. If that doesn’t fix it then I will change the master cylinder and if that doesn’t help I don’t know what to do next.

 

Hey did you ever get that fixed cause I have a 1990 honda prelude and it is doing the exact same thing and it had a new clutch and pressure plate and i have tried everything. I am out of ideas.
