ok heres the deal i want a kteller 3 inch bolt up exhaust. they only make it for the coupe. ive got a hatch. does it make sense that i can buy it for the coupe and cut off the excess that sticks out past the bumper if i put it on a hatch? im not ordering it with a muffler so that wont be a concern. lemme know what you think. thanks.

 

i dont have a 92 hatch, but i dont think that will work. I am sure you can it to work with modifications but i dont think it will be as simple as cutting off excess piping. Are you ordering off the kteller website? You should email them.

 

why dont you think it will work? from what ive read from searching the exhausts are the same , other than the fact that the coupe exhaust is simply longer after it goes over the rear suspension. thanks for your input.

 

well searching is they key. your searching is better than my knowledge. I just didnt think the bends would line up. But like i said, it should be able to be modified to fit, i just didnt think it would be as simple as just cutting. But if your searching says so, then go for it

EG coupes' wheelbase is 2" longer than EG hatch AND has a longer r bumper.BTW,EK coupes and hatches have same wheelbase(same as EG coupe).

they sell 3" piping kits that dont have the hangers and such already welded. i want the 3" bolt on kit with the stuff already welded. thanks for your input though. i emailed kteller, maybe when their back at work ill get an answer.
