Rear brake question
I have a 93 si hb with rear disk brakes but the calipers have both froze even with me driving it everyday. The left hand side did this about 4 months ago so i took it apart and the piston had rusted to the caliper, i cleaned it up and put it back together seems to work but i don't trust it. Now the right hand side is doing the same thing and gets very very hot to where you can't even touch the wheel. Can i just swap these out with the rear brakes off a 99 si? if so what all will i need to do it? seems like it would be a bolt on afair.
sounds like you just need to replace your rear calipers. Also make sure your ebrake cables are working properly.
Last I heard, your eg si uses a smaller caliper then what is found on the 99-00 si. If you cant get the same model calipers as what is on your car you can do the rear 99si swap.
Just swap out the entire trailing arm, rotors, calipers. You should be able to use everything else from your car.

Yeah the calipers are smaller then the 99-00 si and integra rear calipers. It would cost a but load to buy new refabed units they want like $150 or more each and that's with the core taken off. Do i really need the trailing arms? I guess it would be wise to go ahead and replace it last time i looked the rubber bushings were cracked up in them.
