hey.. i have a 91 crx with a b16a and it died a few days ago.. the car wont charge the battery and the lights on the ac control box stay on constantly.. has this happened to anyone else? i need to get my car running asap.. its my dAily driver.. also i think the altenator could be screwed.. because when i took the battery off while it was running it stopped immediately.. but i have another one that i could put on.. but still i need to know why those lights are staying on.. thanks for looking..

Are you talking about the charging system idiot light in the gauge cluster?

If so, you most definitely have a dead alternator.

 

hehe... I think he might be referring to the climate controls?

Oh, good call.

That's definitely a bad thing.

 

yes it is the climate control box.. i changed the altenator and still it keeps on dying as soon as the battery runs out of juice.. the alt is off of my other motor which i also had tested at atuto zone.. any help would be great..

 

Unplug the climate control stuff so that power is not constantly going to it and draining your battery when the car is not running. Also check for loose connections on the battery and alternator. Hope this helps.
