Default SMS ITR Header(new)....

Installed and Clearance Pics on Page 4

Merry Christmas to me! Dave as awlays has made a awsome product with top notch craftsmanship and detail!

The Header is a Mild Steel, One Peice, Prototype Design from Dave for the ITR. I will let him chime in with specs and other questions that you may have. This header will be going on my H2 prepped ITR. It will replace the OEM JDM 4-1 that has been on the car for years. Car with60k AC&PS, Comptech Icebox, K&N e2427, JDM 4-1, test pipe, full 60mm exhaust made 187whp 129trq. New Dyno to come asap.

Pics....Header was coated by JetHot in there Black finish. Thanks Dave!!

Header looks damn good. Definetly a nice x-mas gift

I wonder if there is a difference from Dave_B's piece, where his car is prepped for H2 as well.

I am not sure in the specs of Dave B's. I know he has the one peice but thought he had the model that was already produced. This Header is similar but Dave changed a few things on it. He can chime in with specs.

If/when I go 2.0L I will contact Dave @ SMSP to see what he can do for me. I've always wanted to rock his products.

Looks awesome with the black JetHot coating

Glad you like it Steve. I really like the black better than the shiny bling silver.

Yes it is, but only slightly. This is our new style 1 Piece 4-2-1 header for the B series. This version uses (3) true merge collectors, like the multi piece header, where as the previous version used (1) true merge for the secondaries and (2) pseudo merge collectors at the primaries. These pseudo merge collectors were made with the primary tubes touching each other, so the there wasn't the standard "point" or sharp edge that a true merge has. In theory these should perform better but by how much, who knows.

Here's a pic of the old style that was taken during fit up, please note that more welding gets perform after this point.

This is how the the inside of the 3 merges should look like now, please note this picture is of a multi piece B20 and not smitdog's header.

No, but for the B18C5 engine the tranny to block brace will need to be removed but that allows this header to have great ground clearance.

It's nice to have another welder helping out who has far more ability and experience than I.

I like the looks of this 3 merge setup. I can't wait to see dyno testing on this. Smitty, if you ever want to do a side by side of the 2 headers, LMK.

There's no mention of what tuning was done to achieve the above numbers.
