I just got a set of these mirrors and I'm having some trouble putting them together. I scanned the instructions that came with them:



I'm having trouble with parts #6, 7 & 8. I'm not following how the locking washer and locking stud go on top of the ball joint stud. The locking stud also doesn't fit into the base of the mirror where the J shaped rod comes through. Maybe I'm missing something here.. can anyone with these mirrors point me in the right direction?

 

mine went right on, just like the directions say, i don't know what to tell you

 

yeah but #7 and 8 don't attach to anything.. they're just sitting on top of the ball joint stud.. how did you assemble that part?

 

n/m, I just took another look at the base of the mirror and noticed there is some left over metal material that looks like I'm going to have to grind off to get the locking stud to fit into the hole to screw it in.. it's all good

 

i know this is super old but do you have any pics of it on your civic? ive never seen these mirrors on a civic yet
