what are you trying to say? you're discontent with my response?

you asked and I gave it to you. I've already been down the buyback from insurance road and resell privately, and from what you listed I wouldn't pay more than $1K.

do what you want, I just know what I've done and what I'd do and posted based on my experience.

aftremarket parts on a car missing several things namely the engine ain't gonna fetch much in the real world.

best of luck

its not my car, i dont know all the details...who cares what the brand of exhaust is? its not so baller that it would raise the price of the car....i gave all the important info, its an itr in good condition with 75k, clean titled, everything but the longblock

im not looking for an exact number just a ballpark. i dont see why you have to make fun of me when im just trying to join the family of itr owners and bring this awesome car back to life

you seem to be getting your panties in a wad over nothing. you asked for opinions and we gave them and then you got upset.

if you aren't happy with what we said then wait till someone else answers that makes you happier.

The information you gave is kinda vague. It would be better to post pics to assess the car. And missing the engine isn't something minute or inexpensive.

im not mad sorry if i came off that way. i dont want this thread to be arguing. i apologize. its just like i said a crx shell in mint shape goes for atleast 1k...this is a legit itr not a theft recovery. a genuine c5 long block goes for 3500-4k so i dont see how this shell is only worth 1k.....the jdm hid front alone is twice that

i feel like id be slapping him in the face offering 1k

So all the car needs to get back to drivable is the longblock?

Exluding the paint condition, body dings and dents, aftermarket suspension and exhaust. I would consider $5K.

If the paint and body is in good condition and the suspension and exhuast are good quality products that I would probably increase my offer.

$1000 for a clean title ITR only missing a longblock? Yeah right. I paid $1500 for my salvage title ITR. It was a basic rolling chasis with the 5 lug and brakes still on it. If it has complete interior, JDM HID front end, body is in good shape, and only missing a long block I would still say it's worth $7500ish. That's my guess.

yes, i agree

If the car is in good shape for the miles and hasn't been in any type of accident, I would offer $10,000. You can put together a pretty nice R for under $13,000 if that was the case.

you figure if the R had the motor based off what you say about it, he could probably get $10-12 for the car.

Figure in $4,000 for engine. I woudl offer him $5000-6500 max

10? 7-10? Are you guys serious. I won't say 1k, but I personally wouldn't pay more than say 3k tops. Front end add's no value, or anymore than say the USDM one. The aftermarket parts mean nothing. I highly doubt it's "only" missing the longblock. There is most likely more going on with the car than that. Pay very close attention when looking at the car or talking to the owner. I'd be willing to bet more is wrong with the car.

But again, it's up to you. Is this guy on HT or ITRCA? Does he really know what he has? I think you can get the car pretty cheap if you play your cards right.

A 98 that is clean title with 75k miles I would say is worth $14k assuming nothing missing and the body is clean no accidents . Regardless of JDM front or USDM. I am also a true believer that the front end does not add value.

If only the longblock is missing a JDM ITR longblock will cost max $3500.

So yeah $10k would be absolute max to pay but of couse try to get less for it. I would offer $3k and work from there.
