WHats the average lifespan on aftermarket coilovers??
my GSR has HR coilovers that were installed in 2000. im assuming that the coilovers have over 50k on them at this point. HR is a pretty good brand right? what do you think the lifespan is on these?
anything i should look out for? i really dont wanna have to replace hte whole suspension any time soon, id rather pass it on to the next driver

The lifespan of any suspension can sporadically change depending on how the suspension was being used. If you're constantly daily driving on road conditions with bumps, dips, 90 degree inclines, any situation that makes the shock respond more will lead to a shorter lifespan vs. a shock that has been put thru less. So to answer your question, there's really no set lifespan, really just depends on how much they're used and what type of load and stress have been put on them.
You can physically check the shocks by jacking your vehicle up and looking on the shock itself to see if there's any oil coming out from the shock itself. That's a sign that you'll need to rebuild or replace it.
Springs usually last a very long time. Some tend to sag after some time, but shouldn't really have a problem with faulty springs.

yea its used for basic daily driving, nothing crazy
is it same to assume that they would last as long if not more than OEM...afterall these companies reputations are built on their suspensions......HR and TEIN seem to be respectable players in the coilover game
