Default High mileage on body low on engine...

A while back when I was looking for a car I posted a thread on possibly getting one with high mileage on the chassis. Most people told me a Honda chassis will roll forever and even the engine is pretty good at high mileage too. However in this case I ended up with a new engine, one of those LS motors from Japan that get thrown out at 40K

So I did. the LS chassis currently has 205,000 miles and then engine has 41K on it.

What I'm concerned about is the body... At this mileage is there anything I should be maintaining on the chassis? There is a knockish rattling in the back drivers side corner of the car and I believe it's the suspension bushings. Also when my front goes over a speed bump, it sounds like hotel bed springs when the springs compress..

Any help and advice is appreciated

Replace the suspension. You can get a nice set of coilovers for 700 dollars these days... also: make sure there is no rusty spots on the car... that is all I can think of right now.

ur def goin to have to do some work. the suspension is the main problem area. i would change ALLLL the bushing. theres alot of kits out there that make poly urethane bushings which i highly recommend. the springs and struts should also be changed. im sure plenty of ppl will argue what the best suspension setup is, but after all its your car. brakes are also something that age. if u change all that, i cant think of anything else that would need work, cancelling out cosmetics (rust, interior condition, etc)

I'm guessing changing out all the bushings is a pain in the ***...

Any problems with axels after 205K?

just check to make sure the boots aren't torn. even if they are bad you can pick up a set for $150 so its not a big deal
