If this is tru, then do the spark plug holes line up. I thought they were farther ahead on a d16y8. And with that being said, can you use the plug wires from a d16y8 on a d16y7, because i thought the spark plug holes were deeper?

ALL 92-95 sohc vtec valve covers and ALL 96-00 sohc valve covers are interchangeable within each other, alot of people run 96+ valve covers cuz they are smoother than the pre 96's.
and ontop of that ALL 88-95 non vtec valvecovers are interchangeable within each other.

the head casting from a y8 and y5 are exactly the same they just have differnt vtec system if you go to Hondaautomotiveparts.com and check part numbers for the head casting same number, even though a y5 has j3 stamp from factory and y8 has j6 from factory. then if head cast same then valve cover same.
