Search and look at pics in the roadracing/auto-x forum. There are plenty of dc's with cages to give you a good idea.

a rollcage is not something i would suggest you build on your own if you have no experience. it would definitely suck if you dont do it right and only find out when you need it the most.

take it to a pro and get it done right.

all the above is good advice. also if it's your daily driver and you somehow end up constructing it incorrectly it will do more harm than good. you do not want to be in a wreck surrounded/stuck with metal pipes. also if the bars are not padded or you're not wearing a helmet (which most ppl dont do for daily driving) there is the risk of sever head injury and or increased risk of death. if you end up fabbing it up yourself make sure you do it right under the supervision of someone w/experience in roll cages. just my .02 cents

That is such a pet peeve of mine.....my AutoPower 4-point is padded and would feel unsafe if it wasnt.......I know of two cars in my area that are caged and dont have pads.

One is a friend and he feels that he doesnt need to pad it. I would hate to see him bang his head on it and wind up more hurt because of it, but stubborn people must have it there way.
