I'm looking into buying a g2 integra and am looking what's a good ballpark price to spend. I have found one with around 140,000 miles owner says 110,000 are highway. It's black with a b18, lowered, high flow catback exhaust, dent on rear passenger quarter panel. The owner is looking to get $3,000.

What types of things should I look for before the purchase of the car? I know of the usual wheel well rust but is there anything else?

Any suggestions would be greatly appericated.

 

i think 3000 is too much for that milage and a dent, you can do better

 

i say. look for a 94-97... What year is the G2?? if its older then a 93. i say forget it. the problems down the road with a car that old isn't worth the trouble. you say 3 grand for 110,000 miles? way too much.

 

You should be looking for something like a 94-97 to get the best bang for your buck. If you want something alittle nice try the GSR's. You should spend probably 3-6k on one.

Ye, I'd avoid older cars like that. Especially cars that have been modified, since they usually don't last half as long. You can find tons of obd1 DC Integras (3rd gen) for 2.5-4k with decent miles. High miles are fine in a car if its been taken good care of and has been left relatively stock.

Things to check: Pop off the oil cap on the valve cover, check for sludge. Make sure there isn't any leaking oil around the valve cover, head gasket or anywhere else. Check under the body for rust. Ask to see any receipts or maintenance records. And you can usually negotiate the price down as well

yea its always better to buy cars that are NOT modded. i dont even like to buy cars that have been lowered. bc you know that its problaby been ripped on. just my 2cents.

well then there you go. Its always better to buy a house then a Car. House Value Will always go Up. Cars Only go down. so if a house is possible, then do it.

Much Much Much better of an investment.
