Default EGR cleaning question, already searched.

Can I clean the EGR ports by removing the whole intake manifold and scrubbing, and spraying throttle body cleaner up there? I'm not really sure how EGR works, and I have the F22 with the unfriendly style ports that would have to be drilled out. This is the original motor in my 1994 prelude with 115k miles. Not many people are familiar with this motor in the prelude forum like you guys are here. Thank you for all your help.

This link might help you;

The other method is;
You can pull the intake off and tilt it back, then you can find the EGR ports that are in the top of the intake runners, and use a coat hanger or stiff wire to get in there and rod them out. After you rod them out, remove the egr valve and blast Berrymans B-12 thru the EGR runners and shoot some compressed air behind it to get them as clean as possible.

I would check with your local Honda dealership. Your car might be cover under Emission warranty... you might be able to get it fix for free

What do I ask them? I once asked someone about it at the dealership and they said that was a thing of the past and not happening anymore. But dealerships lie.
