Default need engine help with rocker arms

i have an 88 crx with a dohc non v-tec engine that i bought on the way home one rocker came out and the car died i went to honda and bought a single new rocker arm and talked with a tech about installing it. he made it sound simple enough so i went hme and installed the rocker but when i test drove the car it spit the arm back out. is there something i am missing or what.

The LS and all the non-vtec dohc Honda motors do not have shaft mounted rockers--they use a ball and stud arrarngement.

this is correct it is a ball and stud. it just spit the rocker right out and after replacing with a new parts it only goes about a half mile or so before doing it again. any ideas as to how this might be fixed

is too much valve lash letting it fall out?? is the pocket that the ball rides in damaged? it shouldn't just fall out.

This shouldnt be rocket science to figure out. Take a good look at that rocker and accompanying cam lobe and compare them to the rest, that are staying put.
