Apex'i N1 ExV Coilovers
Anyone have them or ridden in an S2K that does? I'm looking for some feedback on them. They seem to be competitively priced, and could possibly be a better bang for the buck compared to a couple of other dampers I'm considering, such as the Buddy Club N+ Spec damper or the D2 Coilover setup.
I'm looking on http://www.springrates.com for my comparisons, and I'm looking for the best damper under $1200. I need the best overall value in terms of longevity, adjustments, ride quality, and tunability. I will, of course, give and take a little on different parts of that dicision, but I need a little bit of help with my evaluation of all these different dampers.
So those of you that have experience in these cars please give me your opinions of the different brands that are out there and let me know what you think.

They're made in the same factory as the Megan's, only with Apex's "Valving and spring rate adjustments."
Essentially they're overpriced Megan's. I've never heard anything bad about either of them though. I personally had the D2's in my old S2K and wasn't happy with the quality of them. When I get coilovers in the spring I plan on Tein FLEX's or KW V3's.

So does that mean that the quality of the Apex'i pieces are less, or that the Megan's quality is more?
I ask because a friend of mine has the Apex'i N1 dampers on his ITR, and he's been very pleased with them, and they do more for him in all aspects than any other suspension setup he's had on it, and there were several cominations he's tried before finding what he was looking for in the Apex'i parts.

as stated, Its a rebadged megan but done to there "valving" and what not. I can't personally say that there no good, but Im pretty sure they do good for that they "are"

dont you think 10k is a little on the hard side for the streets? Thats a REALLY hard spring rate. Especially for a light rear wheel drive car. I dont know the condition of your roads or tracks out there...but if there's anything but glass smooth surfaces, you're just going to skip over the surface of whatever you're turning on. You might benefit from some softer springs, since U.S. roads and tracks arent really known for being very smooth.

Well, Apex'i is claiming that these suspension peices(ExV) were built for US cars, and therefore they are supposed to be better for the rough surfaces and uneven roads they have here. They also claim that since they are built for rougher usage, that they are intended to last longer than the JDM counterpart.
Although they recently resurface 80% of the roads in my area, I still want something that's going to last if I'm going to spend the money on it.

just because they are make in the same factory, does it really mean they are the same product?

The answer is yes, essentially. They make them in the same factory for a reason. Different companies with different products don't just rent out a big warehouse where they decide to build their own coilovers, but under the same roof
